Me, on stage at MerbCamp talking about Django

I’m at MerbCamp this weekend, and it’s been awesome. The talks have been top-notch and the facility is amazing. Merb’s got an excellent community around it and there are lots of exciting features going in as they approach 1.0.

You might be wondering what a Python guy was doing at MerbCamp. Well, Matt and Patrick asked me to give a talk about what Merb can learn from Django. Here are my slides.

All of the talks were webcast; here’s the video of my presentation.

  2. Awesome slides man! Glad to are setting those Merb guys straight :D It looks like they have got themselves a nice framework!

One quick thing. Once you get to the Django Pony slide you are no longer able to click the prev or next buttons. You can work around this by using the address bar to type "javascript: $('#next').click()", but ideally it is fixed on your side :)

    Thanks!

  3. Thanks, guys. :)

Brian: since the next button has the focus, you can hit SPC to go to the next slide from the Djangopony slide. I'll probably fix this when I next give a presentation; that's about the only time I manage to get around to improving my presentaiton software.
